Am I the only person that feels that Luna isn't really Black?

At what part do you hear something and think "Man, that really reminds me of Luna."

She definitely feels more red, (The color of emotion and impulse) as well as White. (The color of Order and Law) Just food for thought.

i always prefer to think of black as more of the moon and less evil just dark. i mean given some of black is evil but not all of it.

Ironically, Black is the color with the least amount of cards that have the word "moon" in it.

Traditionally, the moon seems to be represented in pretty much every color. However, in the Kamigawa block, there was a Blue tribe called Moonfolk, although they were more about the clouds then the moon.

It is true that Black is not necessarily evil. Black mages are typically the type that are self-centered and will stop at nothing to get power. Which, although are usually traits that we associate with evil, it is not technically evil.

oddly if you think about it white is almost the most evil ( controlling and the such ) although one of my favorite cards of all time was bad moon. and ive always considered the moon both black and blue although luna has always been more black then blue to me.

An interesting tidbit that I found in a Wizards design article discussing evil and black

"Every color on the color wheel is capable of committing evil acts in the name of that color’s philosophy. White will create fascism. Red will commit manslaughter. Green will violently destroy things and blue will wantonly steal them. Evil is not about beliefs but actions. And all five colors are capable of doing evil things."

It's true that all colors are capable of evil. Black is definitely the color that is most capable of evil, however.

Funnily enough, when I was first starting to seriously get into magic, Blood Moon was one of my favorites. (I was trying to build a mono red burn deck) Now the circle is complete: I am now the person that hates blood moon since now I'm the guy playing with all the nonbasic lands.

By the way, if you really want to improve your ability to design cards, I would strongly suggest taking this test on card design:

The answers are here:

The test is quite long, but I can guarantee that your knowledge about card design will increase exponentially. (I know mine did the first time I took it)
